This is true in both film and digital photography and the rules apply equally to both. Several components come together to create a proper exposure. Although our cameras today can do terrific things with exposure in automatic mode, I’m here to help you understand how to do that on your own. For digital photographers it’s important for you to get a good understanding of exposure even more than it is for a film photographer. In digital you do have the ability to edit your photos before they’re printed, but it’s critical that you have the good data in the image you capture.
